Why should clients use the Fresh Ship program?

Trans Ova Genetics’ Fresh Ship program allows clients to utilize their own recipients for carrying embryos created by IVF technology.  While this will require additional management by the client, the ability to utilize their own recipients can make the technology more cost effective.The Fresh Ship program allows clients to continue to work with their local embryo transfer provider for the synchronization of recipients and implantation of the embryos.The results with the Fresh Ship program have been excellent.  With thousands of embryos shipped to date through the program, we can say with extreme confidence that there is no decrease in pregnancy…

Does Trans Ova collect bulls at one of their facilities?

No, Trans Ova does not collect bulls. However, fresh bull ejaculate can be delivered to a Trans Ova facility for IVF use and to be sorted. Contact your Client Service Representative for more information.

What are the semen requirements for exporting embryos?

Answer: Some countries require CSS (certified  semen services) semen used to create the embryos but every country is different. The CSS paperwork is required before embryo creation. Consult a Trans Ova Genetics Export Coordinator to ensure your semen qualifies.

What countries are we able to export to?

Trans Ova Genetics can export to just about any country depending on the embryo testing requirements of the desired country. The top three countries we export embryos to are Canada, the EU and Australia.

Are there any specific requirements when it comes to exporting to China?

February 25, 2020

Yes, anyone interested in exporting China needs to have the work done at a China approved facility. Trans Ova Iowa and Trans Ova Maryland are the only two facilities currently in the Trans Ova system approved for China exports. There are only 20 approved facilities currently approved in the United States. Also, it is important to know that the semen needs to come from a China approved bull stud facility. Currently, there are only 11 approved bull studs.
