In honor of Trans Ova’s 40th Anniversary, we have asked team members to reminisce about their time with Trans Ova and what they are excited about for the future.
Our final team member spotlight to celebrate Trans Ova Genetics’ 40th Anniversary is our founder and President, Dr. David Faber. None of this would have been possible if Dr. Faber had not had a crazy idea just 40 years ago. The entire Trans Ova team is grateful to him for his wisdom and leadership he has provided over the years.
1.What is your favorite Trans Ova memory?
My favorite memories are the fun I had working with our team and clients. I especially remember on farm trips and stories. I wish I had kept a diary.
2. What do you like best about your time at Trans Ova?
I like that we have added diversity in our technology and our people. Our little company has taken us many places around the world!
3. What excites you about the future of Trans Ova?
The team and technology we have built have the ability to assist both seedstock and commercial clients to produce animal protein in a more efficient, affordable, and sustainable manner…. all around the world.
4. What thoughts and emotions come to mind when you think about Trans Ova’s 40th anniversary?
It is hard to believe that 40 years have went by. As the saying goes “Time flies when you are having fun”.
5. In what different ways has Trans Ova excelled or grown in the last 40 years?
We have become leaders in the field both in technology and the quality of our service. Trans Ova has been involved in various aspects of animal biotech from IVF and cloning to biomedical applications.
6. What is your biggest accomplishment at Trans Ova?
We assembled a world-class team. Our team has entered areas that many people questioned, and we developed many into viable business units that differentiated Trans Ova Genetics. We were not afraid to try new things and new markets
