In honor of Trans Ova’s 40th Anniversary, we have asked team members to reminisce about their time with Trans Ova and what excites them about the future.
Our next team member spotlight to celebrate Trans Ova Genetics’ 40th Anniversary is Shane bellow. The Louisiana native is celebrating 20 years with Trans Ova this year. Through his time with us, Shane has helped establish our Texas and Southern region business and now heads up the Bryan, Texas center as Location Leader.
1. What is your favorite Trans Ova memory?
My favorite Trans Ova memory is back in 1994 Dr. Darrell Funk, Cory Krull, and I drove over to the Sioux Center Airport and boarded a small plane to service clients in North Dakota. We boarded at 6:00 AM and serviced 4 clients that day and arrived back at the clinic at 11:00 PM. It was just my second year with TOG, and I was so impressed with how much work a small team was able to do and how Trans Ova provided our team with all of the resources to accomplish our jobs for that day.
2. What do you like best about your time at Trans Ova?
I have enjoyed working with some of the Repro Industries best as well as watching young team members develop into Leaders. The future of Trans Ova Genetics is in good hands.
3. What excites you about the future of Trans Ova?
The technology and how it is being applied to help producers multiply success excites me about Trans Ova’s future. The new young leaders in the Trans Ova system excites me about our future. The commercial IVF market space excites me also.
4. What thoughts and emotions come to mind when you think about Trans Ova’s 40th anniversary?
I am proud to have been a small part of the process and think about all of the producer’s programs we have impacted. I remember the early years when we were only 15 or 20 team members strong at the main office in 1993 and how we all came together to accomplish our goals.
5. In what different ways has Trans Ova excelled or grown in the last 40 years?
Trans Ova has excelled at creating new opportunities for producers as well as its team members. Trans Ova has grown its footprint beyond the Midwest and has established Centers or Satellites in every major region of the US. I look forward to being part of our global expansion initiative.
6. What is your biggest accomplishment at Trans Ova?
I feel that my biggest accomplishment at Trans Ova is the example I have set for our future leaders and the time I have spent to prepare them for the task of continuing to grow our toolbox.
