In honor of Trans Ova’s 40th Anniversary, we have asked team members to reminisce about their time with Trans Ova and what they are excited about for the future.
Our next team member spotlight to celebrate Trans Ova Genetics’ 40th Anniversary is Kay Krull. In her 17 years, Kay has been a light in the lab system at the Sioux Center, IA location. She currently serves as our Sterilization and Prep Lab Technician.
1. What is my favorite Trans Ova memory?
There are so many amazing memories that I have made being part of the Trans Ova family. I guess the one that sticks out the most is when Trans Ova used to host a 5K race for employees and families. I remember my oldest son, Kolten, participated and won the race. The trophy was none other than the mounted cow head that floats around Trans Ova. Kolten was able to hang that traveling trophy is his bedroom at home for a year before he had to relinquish it to the next winner. Talk about a proud kid!
2. What do you like best about your time at Trans Ova?
TOG is a company that definitely puts family first. I am so thankful that in the years I have been here, whenever I had to leave for a sick kid, an appointment, or to catch a ball game, I was always welcomed to do so. As a parent, it is amazing to have a company that puts family first.
3. What excites you about the future of Trans Ova?
I am excited to see how Trans Ova develops overseas and different countries as the years progress. I think that market is going to explode in popularity.
4. What thoughts and emotions come to mind when you think about Trans Ova’s 40th anniversary?
My first thought is “Wow!” 40 years? That’s amazing! I look at the employees and see how many we have that are 15 plus years and I am immediately humbled. Trans Ova has such an amazing team all over the world.
5. What is your biggest accomplishment at Trans Ova?
It may sound cheesy, but I think my biggest accomplishment is the people I have met and the various relationships I have made. They are definitely lifelong.
