Youth Programs

From barns and pastures to show rings, classrooms and hands-on work beside our teams, Trans Ova supports young people learning the responsibility, care and commitment it takes to carry livestock agriculture forward.

The Future of Agriculture Is Already at Work

You can see it in the early mornings, the questions students ask, the hours young exhibitors spend with their animals and the pride families take in building herds and genetics that carry on. The next generation of agriculture is not waiting for someday — they are already showing up, learning the work and helping shape what comes next.

Trans Ova’s youth programs are one way we invest in that future. Through hands-on learning opportunities, scholarships and recognition programs, we support students, young exhibitors and future livestock professionals as they build confidence, pursue education and find their place in the industry.

These programs are built for different points in the journey — from students exploring careers in livestock reproduction, to youth exhibitors celebrating hard-earned show-ring success, to scholarship applicants preparing for their next step.

Internships & Externships

For students who want to understand livestock reproduction beyond the classroom, Trans Ova internships and externships provide hands-on experience alongside the people doing the work every day.

Students may gain exposure to cattle care, IVF labs, client service, professional services and the teamwork behind advanced reproductive technologies. Whether they are exploring animal science, veterinary medicine or a future career in agriculture, these opportunities help connect classroom learning with real-world livestock experience.

Genetic Achievers

A banner is never just one moment. It represents daily care, long hours, good livestock, family support and the work young exhibitors put in long before they step into the ring.

The Genetic Achievers program recognizes youth livestock exhibitors who achieve success with animals produced through Trans Ova reproductive technologies. It celebrates the young people putting genetics to work — and the families who trust advanced reproduction as part of building the next generation of livestock.

Scholarships

Supporting youth also means helping them take the next step in their education. Trans Ova scholarships are designed for students with a connection to livestock, agriculture and the future of the industry.

From high school seniors to undergraduate and veterinary students, these scholarships help recognize commitment, encourage continued learning and support young people as they pursue the goals ahead of them.
