Meet the Dairy Team

At Trans Ova, we’re focused on helping producers make confident decisions that move their herds forward. For dairy producers, that means having a trusted partner who brings practical insight, reproductive expertise and a clear understanding of their goals to every breeding program.

That’s where our Dairy Team comes in.

What can our Dairy Team do for you?

Our Dairy Team works alongside producers to turn reproductive decisions into a clear, practical strategy for the herd. They help dairies:

  • Navigate the IVF process and determine how it can fit into their breeding program.
  • Evaluate herd reproduction and identify opportunities to improve performance.
  • Develop an embryo strategy, including which animals to prioritize as donors and recipients and how to best use available genetics.
  • Align reproductive technologies with herd goals, helping producers make informed decisions around genetic and financial value.
  • Build a practical, long-term breeding strategy that supports continued progress.

It’s a combination of reproductive expertise, strategic guidance and a deep understanding of the dairy industry — all focused on helping producers make better decisions for their herds.

Seth Carpenter headshot
Lead Dairy Consultant

Seth lives in Vermont with his wife Bethany and their two children, McKenzie and Briar. He has spent his professional career working with dairy producers to provide information, resources, and solutions that drive profitability and performance.

Seth has been with Trans Ova for 4.5 years, first serving as Regional Business Manager for the East region before transitioning into his current role as Lead Dairy Consultant in May of 2024. In this role, he continues to serve clients in the Northeast while also providing sales and consulting support to RBMs across the country. His focus includes working with large commercial dairy operations and partnering with Trans Ova’s sister companies to offer a complete suite of products and services.

Chelsea Osburn headshot
Dairy Consultant (West)

Chelsea grew up in Vermont with Holstein show cows and went on to study Dairy Science at Virginia Tech before earning her Master’s in Dairy Reproduction from the University of Tennessee. After graduation, she worked as a reproduction consultant covering much of the East Coast, from New England down to Pennsylvania and across to Michigan.

Six years ago, Chelsea relocated to Montana, where she worked as a guide for an outfitter. While she enjoyed the adventure, she missed the dairy industry. Fortunately, she found her way back — and has been with Trans Ova for the past two years as a Dairy Consultant. However, the West still called, and Chelsea has been managing her family’s Montana guest ranch over the summer. She’s excited to swing back into her role with Trans Ova full-time this fall. Chelsea’s favorite part of her role is helping dairies recognize the genetic potential within their herd and equipping them with the tools to achieve their goals.

Jake Jantz headshot
Dairy Consultant (Plains)

Jake serves as the Dairy Consultant for the Plains region. A lifelong resident of the Midwest, he has spent much of his time in the High Plains. His passion for dairy runs deep — inspired by his grandparents and four generations of family dairymen.

Originally from central Kansas, Jake pursued his passion at Kansas State University, where he earned a B.S. in Animal Science in 2017. Following graduation, he gained experience in the A.I. and DHI industries, first as a Genetic Consultant and later as a Learning and Development Specialist. Today, Jake is most passionate about helping dairy producers achieve their goals and increase profitability through genetic advancement.

Paula Molinari
Dairy Consultant (South)

Paula is originally from Brazil, where she earned her degree in Veterinary Medicine from the University of São Paulo. She later moved to the US to pursue her PhD at the University of Florida, where her research focused on dairy cattle reproduction, uterine health, and the effects of heat stress on reproductive performance.

Throughout her career, Paula has worked closely with large commercial dairies, combining reproductive management, data analysis, and herd consulting to help producers improve performance and make informed decisions. Before joining Trans Ova Genetics, she worked as a Consultant in the AI industry, supporting dairy operations across the Southwest. Today, as a Dairy Consultant for Trans Ova, Paula enjoys helping producers in the South region find reproductive and genetic strategies that make sense for their individual operation and long term goals.
