The Trans Ova Genetics scholarship program supports students pursuing careers in animal science, biotechnology, and related fields. Designed to foster the next generation of industry leaders, the scholarship provides financial assistance to students demonstrating academic excellence, leadership potential, and a passion for agricultural biotechnology.
Recipients of the scholarship benefit from the recognition and support of a leading organization in the field, helping to bridge the gap between academic studies and real-world applications. Through investing in the education of promising students, Trans Ova Genetics aims to advance the field of animal reproduction and support the development of innovative genetic technologies.
Over the past 11 years, Trans Ova’s scholarship program awarded over $150,000 to over 100 students studying animal science or a related field. This commitment to educational support underscores the company’s dedication to the future of agricultural science and its role in fostering industry advancements.
Scholarship categories include:
With the support of the Trans Ova Genetics Scholarship, Reagan Koester, a 2023 scholarship recipient and agribusiness major at Purdue University, aspires to build a career in agriculture, with the goal of serving on state and national agricultural boards to further support and advance the dairy industry.
Kenzie Stadtmiller, a student at Black Hawk East, applied for the Trans Ova scholarship program because of her passion for advancing the field of animal science through innovation. As a 2024 recipient, the scholarship money helped alleviate the burdens of tuition and focus on her studies and hands-on research opportunities.
A 2023 recipient, Morgan Oliveira, found a community of individuals that broadened her greater perspective of the agriculture industry. Lauren Wolter, a Kansas State Student and 2024 recipient, feels confident to pursue her academic goals with TOG’s financial support.
West Texas A&M student Kade Lawrence said, “The TOG scholarship was instrumental in allowing me to afford my undergraduate education. Animal science has been a passion of mine for years growing up in 4-H and FFA. This scholarship allows me to continue my educational ambitions in animal science and represent West Texas A&M University on competitive judging teams.”
Scholarship applications open every year in January and are due March 15. Winners are announced May 1.
