Current Opportunities:

Cattle Feeder for our Sioux Center, Iowa location to feed cattle, figure load sizes, operate heavy farm machinery, and assist with yard maintenance.  Prior cattle feeding and farm/heavy equipment experience required, and the ability to work well with numbers. 

Part-time Driver/Shipping Technician at our Centerville, Texas location to provide transportation of oocytes and embryos between Satellite Centers / Fed Ex to Trans Ova Genetics in a safe and timely manner. This position will also assist with procedures such as loading embryos that are being transferred, assisting chute side with aspirations, and shipping of drugs and packages.  Candidate must have a valid driver’s license and good driving record; knowledge of traffic laws and the ability to work independently.   Hours are Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM – 1:30 PM.

Cattle Production Assistant for our Sioux Center, Iowa location. This position will assist the Veterinarian's with chute side procedures including donor flushing, recipient transfers, and oocyte retrievals. Other daily responsibilities include organize work and cattle flow with in-clinic and haul-in cattle, maintain supply inventory for procedures, recordkeeping, and cleaning work area. Candidate with previous cattle experience preferred.

Calf Herdsman for our Iowa Calving location to work a rotating schedule of 4 days on and 3 days off. Candidate with dairy experience and the ability to operate farm equipment preferred.  This individual will provide care for calves; feed, monitor health, clean and bed housing, and general facility and equipment maintenance.

Part-time Data Entry Coordinator for our Sioux Center, Iowa location to assist the company with entering, validating and balancing client production information in the company data base. Candidate must have the ability to communicate effectively with multiple teams in multiple locations. The ability to type and perform data entry with accuracy, prioritize work and meet deadlines. This is a 20-30 hour per week position.

Part-time Laboratory Technician for our Centerville, Texas location.  Hours for this position are Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM - 2:00 PM.  This position will operate the semen sexing machine, including daily set-up and calibration. Other responsibilities include evaluate semen for sorting, semen inventory control, maintenance of lab equipment and recordkeeping. Candidate with a B.S. degree in Biology or Animal Science preferred; strong attention to detail and good communication skills.

Part-time Calf Herdsman for our Sioux Center, Iowa Calving location to work a weekend rotation, approximately 20 hours per weekend with additional hours available during the week.  Candidate with dairy experience and the ability to operate farm equipment preferred.  This individual will provide care for calves; feed, monitor health, clean and bed housing, and general facility and equipment maintenance

Lab Technician for our Cloning Lab for our Sioux Center, Iowa location.   Responsibilities for this position include micromanipulation (oocyte enucleation, cell injection, oocyte-cell fusion), cell culture, oocyte collection and maturation, embryo culture and data entry.  The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree in a biology-related field, good eye-hand coordination, and the ability to work on a microscope for prolonged periods of time.

Cattle (Donor) Herdsman for our Fletcher, Oklahoma location to care for our client’s genetically elite cows and heifers.  Responsibilities include scheduling, hormone injections, heat detection, AI, and palpations; cleaning pens, repairs and maintenance.  Candidate with a strong attention to detail, and animal husbandry expertise preferred.

Client Service Representative for our Boonsboro, Maryland location.  This position is responsible for serving as the liaison between current and prospective clients of Trans Ova and the rest of the Trans Ova production team.  The individual in this position will help to achieve client satisfaction by following established business practices and managing client expectations.  We are seeking an individual with strong communication and organization skills, a background in the bovine industry and knowledge of bovine reproduction. The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree in a scientific or ag-related discipline, and 1-3 years of experience in an ag-related field.
