Part-time Laboratory Technician for our Centerville, Texas location. Hours for this position are Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM - 2:00 PM. This position will operate the semen sexing machine, including daily set-up and calibration. Other responsibilities include evaluate semen for sorting, semen inventory control, maintenance of lab equipment and recordkeeping. Candidate with a B.S. degree in Biology or Animal Science preferred; strong attention to detail and good communication skills.
Facility Maintenance Technician for our Sioux Center, Iowa location. This position will perform maintenance and construction tasks to support the entire facility; this includes repair and equipment servicing, maintenance and repairs on buildings and facilities. Skills most desired include vehicle and equipment maintenance, fabricating and welding.
Cattle Herdsman (Recipient) for our Chillicothe, Missouri location to care for the recipient cattle as well as processing, sorting, synchronizing, and heat detecting. This position will also assist chute side with procedures. Candidate with prior cattle handling and farm equipment experience is preferred.
Cattle (Donor) Herdsman for our Sioux Center, Iowa location to care for our client’s genetically elite cows and heifers. Duties include feeding, processing, sorting, heat detecting, A.I., and cleaning pens. A rotation is used for weekends and holidays. Prior cattle handling experience preferred and a passion to provide superior care for our client’s cattle.
Cattle Production Assistant for our Sioux Center, Iowa location. This position will assist the Veterinarian's with chute side procedures including donor flushing, recipient transfers, and oocyte retrievals. Other daily responsibilities include organize work and cattle flow with in-clinic and haul-in cattle, maintain supply inventory for procedures, recordkeeping, and cleaning work area. Candidate with previous cattle experience preferred.
Part-time Administrative Assistant for our Sioux Center, Iowa location to assist the Human Resource staff with data entry, filing, and various other clerical duties. Candidate must have a high degree of confidentiality, strong attention to detail and accuracy, professional in appearance and manner, and experience with Microsoft Office Suite. This is a 10-15 hour/week position with a flexible schedule.
Client Service Representative for our Boonsboro, Maryland location. This position is responsible for serving as the liaison between current and prospective clients of Trans Ova and the rest of the Trans Ova production team. The individual in this position will help to achieve client satisfaction by following established business practices and managing client expectations. We are seeking an individual with strong communication and organization skills, a background in the bovine industry and knowledge of bovine reproduction. The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree in a scientific or ag-related discipline, and 1-3 years of experience in an ag-related field.
Part-time Safety Team Leader at our Sioux Center, Iowa location to lead the development of safety programs and objectives across all Trans Ova sites. Responsibilities include coordinate safety training programs, monitor safety regulations, and provide technical support to supervisors to ensure compliance with federal and state safety regulations. This individual will also assist in internal ISO audits and manage document control systems. Candidate with previous regulatory and auditing experience preferred. Must be detail oriented with excellent follow through.
Professional Services Veterinarian to service dairy and beef clients on-farm and at satellite centers in Illinois and Southern Wisconsin. Key responsibilities include: collection and transfer of bovine in vivo embryos, perform ultrasound guided transvaginal ovum pickup procedures for bovine IVF and embryo production, review and design superovulation and synchronization protocols for donors and recipients, evaluate pregnnacy status and fetal gender using ultrasonography, and assist embryologist in lab activities. The ideal candidate will have a DVM or equivalent, full current accredication with the USDA-APHIS, licensure in necessary states or the ability to acquire a license, AETA certification or the ability to acquire, a passion for bovine reproduction, and a strong sense for connecting with clients. The position does require the ability to travel and may include some overnight stays with seasonal spikes.
